Jaime Cowhick is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, Certified Addiction Counselor, Masters Level Addiction Counselor, and a Certified Human Trafficking Provider. Jaime is a survivor of Sex Trafficking. Jaime is a graduate of Trinity International University and currently is a doctoral student with a specialization in trauma at Liberty University. Jaime has over 10 years experience working with the addiction population starting as a Behavioral Health Tech and working her way up to a Primary Therapist. Jaime has worked with diverse populations starting with at risk youth, juvenile delinquents, and sex trafficking victims (teens and adults). Jaime has worked as a Primary Therapist and Case Manager at various treatment and community mental health centers. Jaime uses motivational interviewing, solution focused, and person-centered approach when working with clients. Jaime utilizes personal knowledge from being in recovery herself to connect with clients. Jaime’s passion is to work with her client’s past trauma experiences. Jaime plans on becoming EMDR certified this summer. Jaime credits her survival to her spiritual path which enables her to help those that God has called in her path . To date, Jaime is encouraged by the success stories of the men and women that she helps.
Judith Thony grew up in Pompano Beach Fl . She attended Palmview elementary, Crystal Lake Middle School, and Blanche Ely High School where she graduated with honors. She loved speaking to people and She participated in a several different organizations to help the underserved population and that grew her love for the field of Psychology. In 2009 Judith became a single parent to an adorable 6 lbs 7oz little boy who turned her life upside down. At the age of 21 many doubts passed through her mind , but with the support and love of her family and true friends. Judith always saw the blessing in disguise. Judith focused on her sons well being until he was 5 . She worked two jobs to build a foundation of faith for him. She put him in the best preschools and later private school. Judith then pursued her dream of going back to school with a 1000 % support Judith went to school in 2013 and she graduated in 2016 with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and went onto to received her Masters in Mental Health Counseling Psychology in May 2020. Judith believes in working in partnership with clients, utilizing their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals. She also realizes how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their well-being including their physical health, support systems (family, friends), work or school environment, and faith/spirituality in this process. Judith is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Crisis Intervention. She continues to seek ongoing updates to her skills and knowledge base. Judith is invested in an approach emphasizing a more integrative, dynamic, and has an interdisciplinary approach to mental health. She has worked and volunteered in hospitals, drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities, Girls detentions centers, group homes, and community mental health agencies. Judith Thony is pursuing her Doctorate degree in executive educational leadership and mental health services. Judith has always wanted to change the low income and underserved community one house at a time. Judith Thony is dedicated, reliable and passionate when it comes to mental health and education.
